When Sen. Rick Santorum declared that he would not be a candidate for the Republican nomination for President in 2008, I was, needless to say, very disappointed. I also realized I had some work to do, studying the records and positions of the announced candidates for this most important of Presidential elections. After viewing the records, and listening to the various candidates, my conclusion is that
only one candidate has the conservative credentials to be the standard bearer for the Republicans in 2008.
That man is Rep. Duncan Hunter of San Diego.
Rep. Hunter is strong on the War for Western Civilization. A Vietnam veteran, Duncan Hunter served in the 173rd Airborne and 75th Army Rangers. His son, Duncan Duane, has served two tours of duty in Iraq as a United States Marine. Rep. Hunter scores 100% with the Christian Coalition, National Right to Life, the Pro-Life Forum, and has a lifetime score of 92% with the American Conservative Union. He believes in strict border enforcement, and enforcing the laws of the United States against illegal immigration (no amnesty). He has faithfully served the people of San Diego in Congress for 25 years. This is the kind of man we need to lead this country at this most critical point in our nation's history.
While I like and respect the other candidates on the Republican side,
NO OTHER CANDIDATE has the Conservative credentials of Rep. Hunter. Despite the early polls, I believe once the people take a real hard look at the records and positions of all these candidates, they won't be able to avoid coming to the same conclusion I have;
Rep. Duncan Hunter MUST be the Republican nominee for President of the United States in 2008!
